Barbara Streisand's call for Bush's impeachment |
What follows is the usual liberal ranting from an ugly, slightly above
average singer who wouldn't have gone anywhere if not for her ethnic
following. Why does this woman think the rest of America gives a crap what
she thinks? She should be concentrating on face lifts and voice lessons, not
issues that require actual thought and experience.

"If there was ever a time in history to impeach a President of the
United States, it would be now. In my opinion, it is two years too late
.... Shouldn't war be an absolute last resort? We went to war because we
were misled. And we should be angry because of the 2,000 American
soldiers and the 200 armed coalition forces that have died. We should
be livid because of the 15,000 American soldiers that have been
horribly maimed and wounded. We should be disgusted because of the
30,000 innocent Iraqi civilians that have been killed and the 20,000
that are wounded after administration officials claimed that the US was
going to liberate the Iraqi people. When does it stop? It stops with
the indictment and impeachment of this corrupt, power-hungry, greedy
group of incompetent leaders. How many more have to die before this
happens?"

Nice little propaganda site. Reminds me of the People's Monthly
magazine published by the Chinese back in the 60's. Not everybody
thinks of the Kurds as such a peaceful bunch.

OK, just from a musical point of view.... first, you're simply wrong (as
usual) about an "ethnic following". Do you think that only Jews by
those millions of records and buy those millions of dollars of movie
tickets? Second, Streisand was blessed with the best vocal instrument
in pop music from the 60s to the present. NO ONE has pipes that match
hers from a technical POV. Add to that a suburb ability to express what
she is singing about clearly, and you have a mega star.
