Battle of New Orleans
Never see God when you go looking for him?
Let me tell you a story
That explains it all
One fateful day at New Orleans
Tumultuous forces full of fury gathered
as God faced Mother Nature
and stood in Her way as she threatened
His city with hurricane gales.
a million roared for God
and a million more prayed
as he faced the fury of Nature,
who aroused by damage to her domain
screamed at God
"your mortals are ruining my earth
My other creatures don't get a fair shake
while your chosen little '
darlins eat nothing but cake"
Well God responded,:
"I am mighty and immortal
And can do what I want
Give way before me, Ms. Nature
you are but soil and water
and no match for My Might
But Nature replied by lashing out,
Her fury unbridled
Hurled god out of sight
then swung Him against buildings,
knocking down walls
Hell hath no fury
when a maid is ignored
You won't join Toyota? then taste my might
Said she
As she lifted God up and
And shoved him through a *****
But millions more prayed and God
Dragged himself up, covered in
debris but ready to fight
"Put up your dukes
And fight like a man' He snarled
but She gathered Her strength
And blew a wind so strong
It picked God up and God went
Right through a building and
Out the other end and then
God crept back to heaven
Where he was safe from that wench
And that's why you don't see him
Even at church, but He has
a stand in to nurture your
soul put your money in the
pot as you go out.
