Blame Pat |
Everyone is playing the Katrina Blame Game [home version $19.95 suggested
retail price] is missing the most obvious person to blame. Sure local,
state, federal governments and even individuals can share in the blame.
But who is ultimately at fault? Pat Robertson, I say!
Let's look at the evidence in reverse chronological order.
2005 - he advocates assassination as US foreign policy. Obviously he has no
problem with the 'Thou shalt not kill' thang for those guilty of the mortal
sin of not selling the US oil.
2004 - 2005 - He prays and encourages his flock to pray for the deaths of
liberal Supreme court justices so that Bush Jr might be able to replace them
with 'better' judges. So he feels he can influence god's will to smite
innocent people to help his political agenda. [I guess Rehnquist was just a
poor shot. Aiming for Breyer maybe? God having a bad day?]
2001 - He along with Falwell pontificate that god permitted the Sept 11
attacks to punish the US for the sins of homosexuality, feminism, paganism,
abortion, etc. So although he loathes out-of-control activist judges; an
activist, out-of-control deity dealing out indiscriminate death and
destruction is AOK
1985 - 1995 He claims to have altered the course of various hurricanes
through the power of prayer so that he and his were spared while others -
presumable heathens - suffered the devastation and destruction of these
storms. So controlling the path of hurricanes through god is within his
abilities.
Add it all up and it's obvious Pat caused Katrina to punish the sinners of
the Big Easy.

Do you think Pat Robertson will be in the building?

Of course not! He'll be racing away in his convoy of limos because he has
so much "faith" in god's protection...

Of course.
He claims that he 'prayed' a hurricane away from Virginia Beach some
years ago. That one didn't come, but a few years later another one blew
down the radio tower for his broadcasting station. Let's see him stay
and try for two out of three.
