Blasphemy charges on Friday were laid against an Indonesian
newspaper's chief editor who printed the Danish cartoons of
the Prophet Muhammad.
Imam Tri Karso Hadi of the weekly Peta could face a maximum
sentence of five years in prison if convicted, said Suwignyo,
a police officer in the town of Bekasi, east of Jakarta.
