Bob Crowley - Creationist Liar, Hypocrite and Coward #18 |
The debate challenge was simple:

"You will present your positive scientific evidence for creation, I
will, I guarantee you, completely refute it."
That was issued May 12th 2007. Here we are almost a full month later,
and Crowley has fled the debate full tilt without offering even a
pretence that he can provide one shred of positive science for a
creation.
The *only* thing he was able to offer was sour-grapes whining culled
almost 100% from the AiG web site. Nothing there provides any science
*for* a creation. In fact, the entire stock-in-trade of AiG is
complaining that the Theory of Evolution - the *only* scientific
expalantion for the distibution and diversity of life on Earth -
doesn't explain *enough*! LoL!
Note that carefully: not that it doesn't explain *anything* but that
it doesn't give every single step and detail from the first atom to
modern humans! LoL!
Notice something important here? Yes! they're hypocrites. Neither
they nor Bob Crowley, for all their bluster and high-and-mighty claims
for creation, can offer *any* steps for their position. Not one.
Yet they hypocritically complain not that science hasn't provided a
reasonable explantion, but that it hasn't explained every single thing
from start to finish, and explained it not to the demands of
scientific rigor, but to the personal demands of the academically
unqualified creationist community!
And these appallingly selfish people claim to be Christians?
One of Bob Crowley's own pet peeves is that we are, according to his
amateur assessment, missing steps. He absolutley will not under any
circumstances credit the steps that have been prtovided. He does nto
possess the integrity or the hoensty to allow that.
And the fact that science has repeatedly provided more and more steps
for 150 years means nothing to those of Crowley's ilk. Such amazing
progress isn't and never will be good enough. Even if science
provided proof of 100% of the steps, it would never be enough for
these people because Crowley would find some way to LIE that it was
inadequate.
Well, what follows is another step in the inevitable and endless
progress of the scientific method. Watch Crowley dismiss this as
meaningless. When he does, I'll ask him what his academic
qualifications are to pontificate so on the Theory of Evolution: what
it is which gives *him* the scientific credentials to dismiss 150
years of solid scientific progress, huh?
At www.scienceblogs.com/loom, Carl Zimmer discusses the paddlefish:
"When the fin of a paddlefish starts to form, Hox genes become active
in the bud in the same pattern shared by zebrafish and tetrapods. But
when zebrafish fins stop, the paddlefish fin keeps going. Its Hox
genes produce the same late-stage pattern that defines our own hands
and feet."
Now what in the world are the genes for aiding development of hands
and feet doing in a fish?
Is it, perhaps, because Bob Crowley and his ilk are liars and science
has been telling the truth about evolution - that many of the genes we
use today for one purpose existed long ago but were used for a very
different purpose in the past and slowly, over time, these genes have
been press-ganged into performing other duties?
This is exactly what appears to have happened with the synaptic
material was which I highlighted in "Bob Crowley - Creationist Liar,
Hypocrite and Coward #16":

Science doesn't have to "explain" these things. They're expected
outcomes of the Theory of Evolution. Creationists have some serious
explaining to do.
We're waiting for your explantion Crowley. Your science-supported
explanation for how these dicoveries better fit the creationist
position than they do the Theory of Evolution.

That observation is key to the matter.
Mr. Crowley will lie his head off for an eternity, to bolster both his
infantile belief in the reality of pixies, and to avoid the admission
that he supports, aids, shields and comforts criminals.
