Bonanza to evangelicals - "God destroyed a wicked city" |
"This act of God destroyed a wicked city," stated Repent America
director Michael Marcavage. "From 'Girls Gone Wild' to 'Southern
Decadence,' New Orleans was a city that had its doors wide open to the
public celebration of sin. From the devastation may a city full of
righteousness emerge," he continued.
New Orleans was also known for its Mardi Gras parties where thousands
of drunken men would revel in the streets to exchange plastic jewelry
for drunken women to expose their breasts...

I don't understand. If Iran and North Korea are the remainder of the "Axis
of Evil," why doesn't God destroy Pyongyang and Tehran?
Plenty of righteous God-fearing Christians lived in New Orleans. There's
nothing but sinners and pagans in Pyongyang and Tehran.
What's the deal?

They all were traumatized, or died, because of "Jesus'" 'love' for

Sodom was destroyed because wicked men wanted to rape Lot's angel guests.
God sends rain upon the just and upon the unjust. But remember, in those
arid Biblical lands, rain was a great blessing, not a calamity.
If anyone is to blame, it is all of us, whose civilization has contributed
to global warming. It is a rise in sea surface temperature that fuels
hurricanes.

I'm guessing this dumbass thinks all of New Orleans is the
French Quarter.
Too bad for him that the French Quarter is on higher ground.
Funny that. Ground zero for eeeeeeeeviiiil held up better than a
lot of areas. Better than a lot of *churches I might add.
Not to mention, the first Mardi Gras after rebuilding is going
to be one *hell* of a party...
(So to speak <G>)
I might even have to go--and I'm not a partier.
Heh. I used to be a partier. Now I'm turning into a... well...

'Sides, Mardi Gras in Lafayette is better...
According to the folks in Mobile, AL, it's better in Mobile!
Ignore them, they're drunk...
They'd answer that that is WHY it's better.

You need...another drink! =D
Actually, I need pain pills (pharmacies are all backed up *bad right now)

At least the x-rays didn't show anything broken or torn or whatever...
Mark, kick an email my way please.

I guess these fools don't realize that the so called "wicked" offenders
pretty much evacuated ahead of the storm and left the poor xians to die
at the hand of god. Damn, it looks like their god missed again.

Good point. As for God missing again: I think he was aiming for the empty
porn shops
and brothels. I think he got a lot of them, but destroyed a whole bunch of
churches and
Sunday school classrooms, as well as people's pets in the process. (It's
called
'collateral damage.') He needs to upgrade his weapons system. It looks bad
in the press.
