*BOYCOTT* The American Flag! |

Every Conservative American should boycott the American flag,
because of what it has come to symbolize: self-aggrandizement
and mammon-worship, ego and greed. America is near to collapse,
and she's past the point of no return. God will soon Judge her.
The Republican party has utterly abandoned and disenfranchised
their Conservative voting base. No real Conservative is likely
to vote Democrat (unless it's to teach the GOP a well-deserved
lesson), so Conservative Americans are without a vote, without
a government to believe in, and we're without a flag to salute.
So I'm calling on all Conservative Americans across the country,
especially all patriotic, God-fearing Judeo-Christian Americans,
to cease and desist from flying, displaying, wearing, or in any
way promoting an American flag, or emblems of the American flag.
I realize that active duty military have no choice in the matter,
so they're exempt from the boycott. This is not a boycott of the
U.S. Military. This is *strictly* a boycott of the American flag,
in order to send the elitist politicians in Washington, D.C. and
across the country a clear message: We will not vote for you any
more. We do not believe in you. And we do not believe in America,
because she has become so thoroughly corrupt ergo Anti-Christian.
The Liberal Atheist lawyers & judges are run amuck, the criminal
so-called "justice" system is in tatters, her public schools are
controlled by hard-line Anti-Christian Liberal Atheists, and her
so-called "borders" and "laws" are rapidly becoming unenforceable.
Over a million abortions, which is the cold-blooded MURDER of un-
born human children, occur every year in this disgusting country.
All manner of adultery, and the abomination of homosexuality, is
being actively promoted by the Anti-Christian Liberal government.
Dangerously-violent criminals are routinely rewarded, while their
victims and bereaved families are routinely ignored, and punished.
The rich have never been richer & the poor have never been poorer.
The Ten Commandments & Golden Rule are become anathema to America.
So everyone, please get the word out. Leave your American flags
folded safely away in a drawer somewhere. If you have any flags
out, take them down, fold them up neatly and put them away. And
please don't wear any clothing, jackets, hats, etc., with flags
on them. Likewise for any bumber stickers & anything red, white
& blue. Any item that is or looks like a flag, please take down,
take it off, and store it away. Wear black, as often as you can.
After all it's America's funeral we're attending, so wear black.

I'd be content if these flag waving yahoos would stop using the flag
for advertising. Last year I got five flags from local real estate
agents, landscapers etc. If the flag is so sacred that you don't want
it burned, then you *shouldn't* want it used as a sales gimmick.

Interestingly, the silly proscription against split infinitives
seems to have emerged from the fad for popular grammars which
arose as London started becoming an important center of commerce
and culture. People who might never have cared started wanting
to "speak correctly", and any number of self-appointed grammarians
emerged to answer the call.
There was a great (and silly) reverence for Classical Latin,
and a tendency to view current-day English as a sadly
degenerate perversion of Latin. And so some of these
grammars forbade you to split the infinitive -- because
it wasn't done in Latin.
And of COURSE it wasn't done in Latin, because in
Latin it is not possible to split an infinitive;
infinitives in Latin are a single word.
Pretty sad, eh? As "prescriptive grammars" always
are.
(the above is entirely off the top of my head, although I
have read the basic story in at least two different books
on linguistics)

Maybe the adverb "really" was used for emphasis. You can drop the flag on
the ground and step on it which would be desecrating it. But if someone
deliberately burns the flag, it can be stated that is has been really
desecrated. Merely boycotting the flag is neither but many would call it ignorant.
