Brits left to clear up Bush's mess... |
British soldiers could be sent to support American forces in some of
Iraq's most volatile areas.
Senior British military sources say the US has asked British troops to
fill in behind American soldiers, who are being sent elsewhere.
It is believed UK forces could be sent from Basra, in southern Iraq,
to an area south of Baghdad.
BBC defence correspondent Paul Adams said they would be under US
command, which might cause controversy.

Great, with the US moving troops elsewhere, Poland pulling out by
early next year, perhaps the British will be the only troops left!
Well, until Bush "liberates" another country and we are pulled there
instead (since Blair is spinless).

Only if he gets voted in again but assuming that's the case.
Where's the next oil rich, defence weak, dictator lead country?
I Blair might of learned his lesson, whatever he hoped to get from the US
out of Iraq he didn't.....
