It seems Mr. Brokaw is picking-up where Mr. Jennings died off.
In my opinion, this seals the deal, in granite, of the lefts now
rooted
ideology of hate against Christians. Tom Brokaw, on behalf of the
Democratic
Party (no doubt) moves to demonize American Christians.
(From the article.)
"But he also explores why so many Americans are turning to this
expression
of faith, and whether some evangelicals are going too far: imposing
on
others their spiritual beliefs not only for personal reasons but
also
for political reasons."

Where is the demonization? Where is the comment about "American
Christians"? I see him asking a question about "some evangelists"?
Of
course, if you are one of those who think that only some evangelists
are
Christians and that everyone else is non-Christian then you might
think
his comment refers to all American Christians.
What part of..."imposing on others their spiritual beliefs not only
for
personal reasons but also for political reasons." do you not
understand?
If you don't understand the implications in that statement, I would
point
you towards any reliable references that deal with the NAZI
propaganda
efforts prior to and during WWII.
So you deny there are *any evangelicals with the political agenda of
imposing their beliefs on others? Not even one?
Where did I say that?
The man said *some. Get it?
So, let me see if I got this right, are you saying that only those with
"approved" religious beliefs can compete in American politics? While
others
can't?
How is demonizing them to say they are acting for political reasons?
How is saying they are acting for political reasons denying them the
right to compete?
I get it! You think Brokaw, with that big ol heart of his, is doing this
program because he thinks it's cool and wants to get them free exposure to
advance their political cause.
His motive is not really the issue. If he is a minon of Satan himself
it does not particularly matter if the content of his speech is not
demonizing. Again, how is what he did demonizing anyone, how is it
denying anyone a right to engage in the political process, and how was
it about all American Christians?
Or.
He want to make them look bad and stir up a lot of trouble for them. AKA
demoinizing.
Guess we'll find out when the show airs.
Meanwhile, look up the term "false dichotomy" and "strawman". And
consider the notion of attacking a person before you have actually
watched the show. If you are ignorant and still make claims that sure
seems like bearing false witness.
