Buddha the compassionate one. |
In another NG I said the only thing that was new in the Christian
religion from the other me too religions was the concept of
compassion. Buddha the compassionate one predated Christianity by 500
years according to the poster. I lived in Asia, in a small village
populated by Buddhists and didn't see anything even resembling
compassion. What does the word compassionate mean in reference to the
Buddha?
