Bush Appeals to Religion to Forgive Debts |
WASHINGTON DC (EAP) -- Troubled by the growing national debt
and tax dollar requirements of recent re-election campaign
promises, George Bush Junior has decided to use his religious
heritage to his advantage, and ask the American people to consider
the Jewish Seventh Year Jubilee tradition as a way to get rid of
the national debt.
"While talking to Jesus last night, He told me about the seventh
year forgiveness of debts idea of the Jewish people, and I had an
epiphany or burst of inspiration," Bush said.
"If I get re-elected for another term, then that will make
my term eight years, and in the seventh year of my term,
the year before I can't be re-elected again, God will forgive
all of the debts of our nation, and we can return to a Golden
Age of prosperity, ready for a new President."
When asked what people are supposed to do with their treasury
bonds and CD's, Bush said "Tear them up, and forgive our government
of the debts. It's the only patriotic thing to do, if you care about
our country at all."
When told by his financial advisors that doing so would put a lot of
retired people without any future income, Bush responded "Jesus will
fix everything. He told me so last night when I was having a private
conversation with Him."
"This idea is taking the Jubilee Year tradition way beyond what it
was ever intended for," say several Jewish rabbis who prefer not to
be mentioned by name at this time.

It was the correct useage and pronounciation of 'epiphany' that told me
it was a fake.

Do you think "ask" should be changed to "is asking?" Does it sound
better?
I wanna polish the story up a bit before I post it on my website.

I would go with "ephipany (sic)" rather than just "epiphany." Otherwise, I
think it's pretty good as it is :-)

LOL.
At first I thought it was real, then I had to go back and check the wire

It's scary in a way though. Bush is so lame that he probably believes
in so called faith healing and laying of hands. If Jeebus can cure the

Jeebus can also cure a sick economy.

Heh! Heh! Very good, Elroy!
It's scary in a way though. Bush is so lame that he probably believes
in so called faith healing and laying of hands. If Jeebus can cure the

Yes. The "wire service" EAP stands for "Evil Atheist Press." Mr. Willis
