"We have a difference of philosophy in this campaign," Bush told
supporters. "It's a clear difference: my opponent's programs will
expand government. Our programs will expand opportunity."

And Bush's evidence for this unfounded statement is...?
Interesting how under Clinton, the government was greatly reduced in size
after years of bloat under Republican administrations, but it increased to
record levels under Bush.
And the Republicans want us to believe the DEMOCRATS are the "party of big
government"!
Republicans are nothing but a bunch of liars and hypocrites. Give the
Republicans what they have long deserved this November - a thorough ousting.

In two short years, government expanded 26% under Bush, more than any time
since WWII, except for one quarter under Ford when Ford managed an 8.2%
expansion in one single quarter.
Amazing! These assholes accuse Kerry of WANTING to expand government and
they are teh post WWII champions!

In his first four years in office Bush has increased the Federal budget and
spending by a whopping 29% - greater than at any time since W.W.II!

Exactly, I think this is stupid of Bush. I don't think he wants to
remind his Republican base of this issue. He's better off letting
Kerry run the campaign for now, causing focus on 30 years ago.
