supplying terrorists, and said why he thought the danger

9/11 was an act of global terrorism --> we must act to put a
stop to global terrorism --> now that Afghanistan is delt with
we expect terrorists to turn to Hussein for help --> Hussein
has shown by his past behavior that he's dangerous --> we
should take care of Iraq. That's the link I got then, and,
strangely enough, that's the link the above paragraph
supports. Was there a subtext you're trying to read into
it that I missed?

violation of the War Crimes Act of 1996.
So, my feelings on the matter is moot.

Well the way I see it is Bush stated quite clearly that Saddam was
aiding members of the al-Qaeda. If you use simple logic to analyse the
implications, by Saddam aiding al-Qaeda members, he helped that
organisation commit the 9/11 atrocity. NO word games involved. Just

implications, by Saddam aiding al-Qaeda members, he helped that

Bush gave speeches knowing that what he said would cause listeners to
conclude - Saddam was involved. And his deceit worked - seventy
percent of us belived him.
And a high percentage of our soldiers sent to Iraq believed it too.
That's one reason for the high level of brutality.
His carefully crafted words were designed to achieve that result.
Only a gullible person would deny that.
