eight-year long conflict with Iran which coincided with Reagan's tenure as
president. At that time, Iran was considered the great enemy of the US in the
middle east and Iraq was a great friend under the concept, "the enemy of my
enemy is my friend." The starter biomatter for Iraq's biological weapons
program was given to them by Reagan. Navy SEAL teams worked with the Iraqi
military in joint operations. Hussein became disallusioned with US support
after the Iran-Contra scandal when it was shown that the US was arming not just
him but his enemy and in a few years he had completely disassociated himself
from the Reagan administration.

federal government should be paying for local fire-fighters or their
equipment in the United States. I can see how we might have to pay to
