Bush tries something new |
WASHINGTON (Reuters) -
President George W. Bush will delay announcing a new Iraq strategy until
the new year, the White House said on Tuesday amid polls showing Americans
are more pessimistic about the war and want a change.
Wow. Things must be *really bad* if GW is going to re-think his strategy
(such as it is).

I think he gets five good thinking minutes a day. Then it's time to wipe

thoughts!

You see the polls that are pushing into 70% disapproval territory on the
question of Bush's handling of the war?
Withdrawal on a fixed timetable is getting majority support now...

It is starting to look like Bush is going to give the military option yet
another chance. When this blows up in his face, I predict that the
Republicans will dissert him en mass.

Apparently already are. The polls are pushing into 70% disapproval of his
"handling" of the war. That requires a major shift among Republicans to
happen.
What's going to get interesting are the rumors about the groups working on
ousting al-Maliki and his camp's comment, "We know what's going on and we
will sabotage it".
Now, that could become a conflict *nobody could avoid calling "civil war."

Yes but if the government itself breaks down and there's a fight for power

President George W. Bush will delay announcing a new Iraq strategy until

Wow. Things must be *really bad* if GW is going to re-think his strategy
(such as it is).
That ought to take him 5 minutes or less.

The strategy most likely being, "how can we best make the Democrats
look bad?"

"Christians have an obligation, a mandate, a commission, a holy
responsibility to reclaim the land for Jesus Christ - to have dominion
in the civil structures, just as in every other aspect of life and
godliness. But it is dominion that we are after. Not just a voice. It
is dominion we are after. Not just influence. It is dominion we are
after. Not just equal time. It is dominion we are after. World
conquest. That's what Christ has commissioned us to accomplish. We must
win the world with the power of the Gospel. And we must never settle
for anything less."
