Many of those at the GOP convention sold their souls to Bush long ago.
Bush's performance, no matter have bad, will not be a relevant
factor,
as far as they are concerned.
1) As Bush will be persorming from a script, he ought to do OK
2) The media will decalre the Republican COnvention a big success,
because
they want a close race.
The RRR convention will be a rigidly scripted and choreographed
event without a smidgeon of spontaneity. All the repugs will
line up to kiss Junior's left behind. I just hope the debates
will be different.
They won't - just like 2000 the debates are single moderator - which seem to
mean a moderator who helps Bush by never asking any tough questions or
demanding honest answers.
I imagine the repugs are fighting like hell
to ensure that all questions will be provided to them in writing
weeks in advance
They do that with the press - I cannot imagine why the press puts up with
it.
and that their boy will be given a teleprompter
with one of those bouncing balls you seen on karioke screens.
If the dems have any sense, they will fight equally hard for at
least part of the debates to be non-scripted. If the debaters
actually have to think, let alone speak impromptu, Kerry will
annihilate Junior. And of course they'll need to have a five-
second tape delay when Cheney speaks.

Don't forget that Kerry towers over Dubya, so Dubya will be standing on a
milk crate.
