Cassini snaps best pictures yet of Titan |
Scientists believe the moon could have chemical compounds much like those
that existed on Earth billions of years ago before life appeared.
Big enough to be a planet in its own right, Titan has an atmosphere 11/2
times as dense as Earth's, containing organic -- meaning carbon-based --
compounds. Scientists believe there could be hydrocarbon seas or lakes.

Don't you have to send the CIA in, to install a puppet president,
first? (:-)

We interrupt this newsgroup to bring you a message from the President
of the United States.
Dubya: "My fellow Amuricans. We have begun military action to free the
Titaniums from their evil dictator Brzzyx, who has WMDs hidden under
his bed, ties to al Qaeda, tried to buy Uranium from...Uranus, and
worst of all, is a friend of Michael Moore. The DIA informs us that
the Titaniums will welcome us with sweets and whatever they have
instead of flowers. After Brzzyx is captured or killed, Halliburton
has signed a contract to complete the reconstruction of Titan and
liberate as much hyrdrocarbon as possible. They have launched a fleet
of their own spaceships commanded by Space Admiral ***** "F. U."
Cheney. Any Titaniums who resist will be captured and tortured under
standard operating procedures.
The liberation of Titan has begun. Gawd help...er, I mean bless
Amurica."

Hmmm. Titan sounds kinda big.
Aren't there any twelfth-rate moons with lakes of hydrocarbons?
That we could take in a walk-over?

Did they spot any oil on Phoebe? Phoebe looks kind of moth eaten.
