Catholic church strikes again |
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2003/12/01/MNGR93DE191.DTL
If there was a true separation of church and state, this would be
illegal. So where is a class action lawsuit to stop religion from
telling the rest of us what to do?

Contraception is evil because it makes women fat.

I think they should allow Catholics to opt out of contraception
coverage by paying a premium. Contraception is lots cheaper for the
insurance industry than child medical care.

What next you gonna allow to Catholics? What about Jews or Muslims?
Satanists? What if there is a call for Jihad, and killing
infidels.Should that be allowed too because its a part of a belief?

Not at all. All I said (which you clipped off) was that as insurance
customers, Catholics (and everyone) should be able to buy whatever
coverage they want, and pay what ever it is worth. And since medical
costs for families who do not use birth control is generally higher
than that for those who do, they should be offered coverage at a
higher premium. Are you not willing to let them pay for what they
want?

But thats not what they want. And they use a "belief" to justify
it.Untill you people realize, that religion is not a belief, but a con
game, nothing will change.
If religion was perceived as a business, any religious involvement in
politics and government would be illegal.

Sorry, you can't have that. That would require the state to control freedom of
religion.
