In yet more evidence strongly supportive of evolution, chickens are

If this were the *only* example of an evolutionary throwback, they
might be able to wheedle their way out of it. They can't do that by
employing scientific arguments (which their track-record shows they are
utterly unable to make). They'd do it by stonewalling, blathering, and
tossing out every straw man they could invent.
Unfortunately for them and their thoroughly untenable position, this
example isn't the only one. They cannot explain, for example, why the
human fetus has a tail or gill arches at various points in its
development, or why some whales and snakes have pelvises and/or hind
leg bones.
None of these things would be found if an omnipotent and perfect
designer, who had all eternity to work in and infinite resources to
call upon had designed specific, immutable, discrete "kinds" from
scratch.
The creationists/idiot designers cannot so much as define "kind". Nor
can they even begin to posit a genetic mechanism which would prevent
one "kind" from changing into another "kind" over time.
In short, they have nothing but mouth - and no teeth. Which brings us
right back to the chicken....
