When it was a few members of the Catholic clergy involved, liberals were
calling for their heads ( and rightfully so ). When organizations such as
PPA or the ACLU are the culprits, a double standard exists. Child abuse is
criminal, whether one is the perperator or aiding and abetting. The RCC has
fired the priests in question, paid off countless lawsuits to those who
conveniently "remembered" having been abused after the lawsuit monies
started to roll in, and set new guidelines for the priesthood, in an attempt
to avoid further incidents. PPA refuses to accept responsibility for their
crimes while the LLL cheers them on.

ACLU affiliate is representing Planned Parenthood: They consider it a

records to the authorities on the grounds that the request was a 'fishing
expedition,' it would be labeled an obstruction of justice by every major
media outlet in the nation; no doubt '60 Minutes' and Showtime would find it
grist for a story or a movie. But because the cover-up is being done by the
darlings of the liberal establishment-Planned Parenthood and the ACLU-not a
howl of protest can be heard.
"And it's not just in Indiana-it's all over. This is why I am writing today
to every member of the New York State legislature urging adoption of a bill
by State Senator Stephen Saland that would make no exemptions for abortion
providers in mandating that child sexual abuse be reported to the
authorities. Again, Planned Parenthood and the ACLU are the ones trying to
stop this legislation (along with the National Association of Social Workers
and the New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence), and they have
been doing so for three years. It's time to end the cover-up, protect the
kids and have one law for everyone."

The ACLU is right - it is a fishing expedition. What's going on is
that a group of pandering politicians are kowtowing to the religious
right wing at the expense of children who sometimes make mistakes:
when one thing leads to another during their first date, sometimes
things get way out of control. It's too bad when it happens, but a 13
year old voluntarily having sex with another 13 year old and without
any parent or guardian knowing is not child abuse.
Of course, the rich folks doing the pandering won't be affected
personally. If this sort of thing happens to their kids, they'll
just get the abortion out of state.

Interestingly, I know of a priest who, in the parrish where I was
living raped one of my friend's little brother. He was sent to prison
and when liberated, went to another country where, despite the warnings
sent to the bishop, was AGAIN put in charge of children. Guess what
happened? He was recently arrested for sexual aggression...
Besides, what's your point: because of this cover-up, it suddenly make
rapists-priests acceptable? More importantly, where have you seen ONE
"liberal" (everyone is a liberal compared to you, nazi turd) approving
of child abuse? You're a liar, J Young and one of the most repulsive

people; we can admit that there are times, not many, where we can be wrong.
