China Boycott Union looking for allies! |
We are looking for more allies!
The China Boycott Union is looking for allies in its campaign for
human and animal rights in China and Tibet. Although our central theme
remains our opposition to the brutal occupation of Tibet, we have come
to realise that there are many more reasons for boycotting Chinese
products and discouraging investment in China. One of these is the
fact that China is the biggest perpetrator of forced abortion. This is
obviously an issue for human rights activists, feminists and those
with strong religious objections to abortion. Therefore if you fall
into any of these camps, please join us! (We already have many animal
rights activists on board, in response to China's callous indifference
to such activities as bear-bile farming and rearing dogs for their
fur).
The first thing we would ask you to do is fill in our Pledgebook:-
"We pledge not to buy products from, or invest in China until the
government respects human and animal rights in China and Tibet. We
also demand that China behaves like a true ally, and stops exporting
artificially cheap goods made by slave labor and in sweat shops where
basic workers rights are ignored." – You can find the Pledgebook at

Secondly, every time you go shopping and put a Chinese product back on
the shelf, or you choose not to buy shares in a company that invests
in China, tell the world about it using our ACTION FORM (also on our
homepage)
Also, please send an email to everyone you know, asking them to join
the boycott.
