America's trade gap is widening - and threatens to destabilise the rest
of the world, says Heather Stewart in Washington

The Observer
'This says to the Chinese, this is a shot across your bow. Reform -
because, if you don't, there are going to be dramatic consequences
throughout the world, in our country and in your country as well.'
Such bellicose language, spoken in the US Senate, smacks of the Cold
War, when the US was fighting the 'red peril' of Communism. But in
fact, it's the way 21st-century Washington - in this case, Senator
Chuck Schumer, of New York - has expressed its fury at China's
extraordinary economic success.

Right on the money. Where's the trade deficit if America's WASP CEOs
and decision makers, such as the whole Walton family, would buy
American and not ship jobs overseas? These mostly white elites, who
went to Harvard on their grandaddy's legacy admission (while the slaves
are still in the fields) pay off our esteemed Senators to turn a blind
eye on their Benedict Arnolds business practice - now blame China?
Please, China's been pegging their dollar low and buying our treasury
to keep our deficit servicable. America had to borrow money from China
and Japan to pay the interest on our deficit. On top of that George W
Bush is spending like a billion dollars a week on Iraq war (where's the
WMD?) and the sh!t is about to hit the fan over there. Just so oil
stock can go thru the roof for the Texas Oil Fat Cats? (don't belive me
go take a look)
Yeah, it's all China's fault.

But in
fact, it's the way 21st-century Washington - in this case, Senator
Chuck Schumer, of New York - has expressed its fury at China's
extraordinary economic success.

I really wonder if Seanator Schumer is biting the China Lobby hand that
fed him?

to keep our deficit servicable.

So that's why China has the peg. Thanks China, and thanks charles for
letting us know.

America had to borrow money from China
and Japan to pay the interest on our deficit.

If China attacks Taiwan, they won't be getting any of that money
back.

On top of that George W
Bush is spending like a billion dollars a week on Iraq war (where's

the

WMD?) and the sh!t is about to hit the fan over there.

A billion dollars ain't what it used to be ... but 500 billion is.

Just so oil
stock can go thru the roof for the Texas Oil Fat Cats? (don't belive

You are unclear here. Go where? Iraq or Texas.

Yeah, it's all China's fault.
