Chinese Gull Arrives in Vermont - Don't Mention Bird Flu! |
http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/science/10/26/rare.gull.ap/index.html
lovingly describes a cute little Chinese seagull that arrived
unexpectedly in Vermont, possibly on a ship or blown off-course during
one of these idiotic migrations that the so-called intelligent designer
created. Read the article - it's very short, and not a single whisper
of a mention of bird flu in the entire thing.
Are bird-watchers so tuned-out that not even a thought of a possible
vector crossed their minds?!

I saw that article and wondered about the same thing.
I also saw a newspaper article last week that showed the major migratory
bird flyways of the world. It seems that certain species from Southeast
Asia, where the disease is prevalent, East Asia, and perhaps as far
south as Australia summer in Alaska and part of Northwestern Canada.
Part of the region is also used by birds from Canada, the US, Mexico,
Central America, and South America.
With all of those birds together, I think that the transmission of the
virus is inevitable.
For the world's flyways see:
