A former maintenance man at a Blanco County orthodox monastery will
avoid any more prison time in the death of his girlfriend. James Tenny
says that he killed Joyce Mulvey in self-defense.
In 1997, a jury convicted him of murder, but an appeals judge
overturned the decision but not before he served five years in prison.
On Wednesday, a new jury sentenced him to five years for aggravated
assault. He's already free Thursday morning because of time served.
