Object: Christian pediatrician denies child service because parents are tattooed

A family is turned away by a local pediatrician, they say because of
the way they look.
The doctor said he is just following his beliefs, creating a Christian
atmosphere for his patients.
Tasha Childress said it’s discrimination.
She said Dr. Gary Merrill wouldn’t treat her daughter for an ear
infection because Tasha, the mother, has tattoos.
The writing is on the wall—literally: “This is a private office.
Appearance and behavior standards apply.”
For Dr. Gary Merrill of Christian Medical Services, that means no
tattoos, body piercings, and a host of other requirements—all
standards Merrill has set based upon his Christian faith.
“She had to go that entire night with her ear infection with no
medicine because he has his policy,” Tasha Childress said.
I guess his version of Christianity doesn't include Matthew 7:1

Well good, if he wants to maintain a private business, let him. Without
that nice *public* license to practice medicine.

Tasha Childress said it's discrimination.

She said Dr. Gary Merrill wouldn't treat her daughter for an ear
infection because Tasha, the mother, has tattoos.

The writing is on the wall-literally: "This is a private office.
Appearance and behavior standards apply."

For Dr. Gary Merrill of Christian Medical Services, that means no
tattoos, body piercings, and a host of other requirements-all
standards Merrill has set based upon his Christian faith.

"She had to go that entire night with her ear infection with no
medicine because he has his policy," Tasha Childress said.

I guess his version of Christianity doesn't include Matthew 7:1

Restaurants can't be sued for malpractice. Where in the law does it
call not treating a child with an ear infection due to her mother's

I hope the mother sues and wins a huge judgment against the doctor.

What's the probability that this 'Christian' follows this other
commandments?
And what would he think about this:
Lev 19:18 Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your
people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.

Isn't that one of the cornerstones of Christianity? Punishing the
child for the "sins" of the parents?

Anyone know which scripture condemns tattoos?

“Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on
yourselves. I am the LORD” (Leviticus 19:28).

Don't they say that, since Jesus fulfilled the Law, we don't have to
obey it first?
Or that the Law is for Jews, not for Christians?
Or some other self-serving lie?

The Abrahamic superstitions are self-serving from start to finish.
