If cheese sandwiches and oyster shells are not enough, now there is word
that various relics said to be associated with Christ are going on tour.
http://tinyurl.com/6m48y
Included are a sliver from the crucifix ( yes! an entire sliver! ) and
some metal shavings said to be from one of the nails. The Apostolate for
Holy Relics sort of guarantees that the items are the real thing. No
mention of whether they would be interested in buying a cheese sandwich.
Or a bridge.
Regards,
Josef
The masses have little time to think. And how incredible is the
willingness of modern man to believe.

How come Jesus had metal fingernails? Or is it toenails?

Acrylic fingernails had not yet been invented.

I thought the nails that they allegedly hung Jeebus by were made of wood.

I hadn't heard this particular claim, but I have seen suggestions that
victims were tied with rope rather than fixed with nails.
That's the beauty of mythology: you can make it up as you go and no one

It depended on the area and the time. Different kinds of
crosses were used and different ways to attach the victims.
Using a rope to attach the victim could be the cruelest, since
it could take longer for them to die, unless they suffocated
fairly quickly (the way their heads hung down caused this).

That was the usual way to crucify someone. Rope was much cheaper, and
the torture lasted for much longer.
