Christianity Deteriorating around the Country

facing a country who doesn't know God. Consequently, What’s The Word

I actually heard some Christian rap yesterday...a friend subjected me
to it for joke purposes. One of the lines that stands out in my mind
was:
"16 in the clip and 1 in the Klack/Your Gat gangsta ain't nothin' 'cuz
Christ's got my back"
I really, truly wish I was kidding.

'Realism is seductive because once you have accepted the reasonable
notion that you should base your actions on reality, you are too often
led to accept, without much questioning, someone else's version of what
that reality is. It is a crucial act of independent thinking to be
skeptical of someone else's description of reality.'-

Perhaps Bush can keep up a fresh stock, by upping the enlistment in the air

The problem is that if they aren't suckered into Christianity they are
often suckered into something else, some other religion or cult or
goofball belief. Plain, ordinary, rationalism has no mystique.

What percentage of Americans become Christians by the time they are 25?
whilst I agree that the older people are, the less likely they are to
be taken in, that is not something that can be inferred from that statistic

Past patterns are people become believers at a young age, often
drift out as they go to school, start families, business and drift back
later.
Pre-WWII almost all people started as believers, but since WWII
that has been steadily dropping. Since the 90's that number
seems to have been accelerating. Especially among the young.
This has been feeding the increasing number of people neither
religous nor spiritual.
And of those who do claim to be religous, more and more young
are drifting out of churches.

Looks like the church needs to get some marketing tips from Big Tobacco.
