Object: Christianity is a fraud.
Christianity is a fraud and neither I nor anyone else is obliged to follow
it's orders.
Here are the reasons.
1/ I am not guilty of original sin since I was not present and did not
partake in the story of Adam and Eve. Besides, Adam and Eve did what they
did because God didn't give them any reason not to. If they are not given a
reason to avoid something then they have no reason to avoid it.
By the way, "you will die" is not a reason, it is a threat. Adam and Eve
were like children. It is not nice to threaten children. Also Adam and Eve,
after being warned by God, had to investigate what good and evil was so they
could avoid getting into trouble. It just so happens that there was a tree
there which possessed the knowledge of good and evil. Perfect!
After getting some advice from a friendly serpent, which by the way
god allowed to sneak in there, Eve reached out to solve the mystery of
good and evil. Oops! Damn, a catch22. That's the tree that has the forbidden
fruit. Children have short memories don't they. Never mind, God is
good. He will forgive their little memory slip. Oh, he didn't.
But they will get a second chance. Everyone gets a second chance, especially
children who are first time offenders. Oh, they didn't get a second chance.
Man, what a rotten god.
Let's see how this god is doing so far. First he threatens the young couple
and fails to give a reason, or any information what so ever for avoiding
something, that's strike one, then he tricks them with a catch 22 by putting
the forbidden fruit on the very tree that could enlighten them as to what is
right and wrong, that's strike two, then he fails to give them a second
chance even though they are first time offenders. That's three strikes!
The god of the bible is out!
Wait a minute. Tree of knowledge - Knowledge is light. If this god is
suppressing knowledge then HE is the god of darkness. Maybe the serpent was
really the benevolent one!
2/ I did not ask anyone, namely Jesus, to come and rescue me from the above
accusation. Pleading guilty to the above and accepting help to be saved from
a questionable fate would incur a debt which I would have to repay.
Thanks but no thanks. I'm a honest and responsible person so I will pay my
own debts thank you very much. Jesus has attempted to violate my free will
and my right to take responsibility for my own future by trying to save me
2000 years before I was born, from a crime I didn't personally commit, and
for which there is no proof that it even happened. How arrogant!
3/ Who is Jesus? The only son of god? Then who or what am I? A galactic pet?
Religion has failed to answer this question so I am forced to make my own
conclusion. Here goes. I am a creation of the prime creator of this
universe. My creator is not a tyrannical dictator like the god of the bible
so I get to be who I want to be, not what an angry, vengeful, jealous and
hapless text based demigod wants me to be.

You think christianity is a fraud, check this out..

I checked it out and it has some facts about Rev. Mooon and this page and
its links try to make the case that Rev. Mooon is trying to take over the
world and must be stopped. The reasoning is exaggerated. One wonders if
there is a political agenda beyond merely opposing the Unification Church.
For instance, one of the links tries to insinuate that Pres. Bush is working
hand-in-glove with Mooon. Whether or not you like the Republicans is one
thing, but trying to use MOOn as a reason to oppose them is ridiculous.

You are guilty. You have commited sin in your life just as every
other human. There is a penalty for sin so you are accountable for
your own actions. Even with human godless morality, atheists believe
there should be a form of punishment for wrongdoing.

Stop worrying about me. I'll take care of my own life.
Worry more about our elite religious leaders who have stolen your power and

After getting some advice from a friendly serpent, which by the way

good and evil. Oops! Damn, a catch22. That's the tree that has the

forbidden

fruit. Children have short memories don't they. Never mind, God is
good. He will forgive their little memory slip. Oh, he didn't.

God stated plainly that they would die if they eat of the fruit. If
my parents warned me not to eat from the poison tree, and yet I
disobey, I have no right to blame them for my death.

Would your parents put a poisonous tree under your very nose in the backyard
and then go away and see what happens?
Do your parents put you to the test like that or do they instead teach you
everything there is to know about the world so you can live and grow safely.
God keeps telling us how loving and compassionate he is and yet he keeps
looking for ways to kill us. Why? For a god he sure acts like a scoundrel.
Is it possible that this is not what god is like at all? Is it possible that
the bible story is just a big fear campaign to make us all behave ourselves
and give away our power?

But they will get a second chance. Everyone gets a second chance,

wanted Adam and Eve to live like animals and yet he gave them almost
limitless intelligent faculties. Why do you suppose that? Don't you smell
something fishy about the bible story that's been shoved down our throats?

My parents would not lock me in a basement so I can not know that the

ability to make my own decisions and choices.

So far we have had more pain and danger than anything else.
The only choice the god of the bible has given us, in a nut shell is
"worship me or die".
Does your father say that to you?

God keeps telling us how loving and compassionate he is and yet he keeps
looking for ways to kill us. Why? For a god he sure acts like a

scoundrel.

Is it possible that this is not what god is like at all? Is it possible

that

the bible story is just a big fear campaign to make us all behave

ourselves

and give away our power?

Where do you get that idea? Sin is what corrupts and kills, not God.

The concept of sin is merely a lie which has been perpetrated on the human
race by dark sources. They have sent us on a big guilt trip to gain control
over us.
In the higher realms there is actually no such thing as sin.

But they will get a second chance. Everyone gets a second chance,

especially

children who are first time offenders. Oh, they didn't get a second

chance.

Man, what a rotten god.

In order to give them a second chance, God must break his own rules

Do the police break the law when they give you a second chance?

They would if they looked the other way while someone was commiting a
crime.

Yes, if they were breaking the law on purpose, but most of us break laws out
of absent mindedness. In many cases police let people off with a warning.
That is compassion, but the god of the bible showed no compassion toward
Adam and Eve, and now he's forcing the rest of us to live in fear. Fear
kills creativity and self identity as well as a lot of other positive
emotions. The god of the bible is a fear monger.

Would you prefer the law to be totally arbitrary and rigid?
Would that make you happy?
There is a thing called compassion. The god of the bible keeps talking

about

it but I don't think I've ever seen him use it yet.

The fact that we are enjoying another day of life while God allows
people to spit and curse his names and cause pain is proof enough.

Just another day of life. Never mind the quality, just bare survival is
enough for you is it? Hmm.
Spit and curse his names?
In the spirit world god has no names. It's only humans who need to give
everyone and everything names.

We hear about it so much that we begin to believe that it's being used

but

it's nothing but a mind game.

Do you ever think that the Lucifer myth might somehow be related to the

The name "Lucifer" means something like "Bringer of Light", so maybe
you're onto something.

Lucifer means Son of the Morning, or the Lightbringer.
The only evil thing I've ever found Satan (Lucifer) doing in the Bible
was the torment of Job. Of course, the Bible repeatedly says that this,
that, or the other thing are all Satan's fault, but hey, anyone can make
accusations without evidence. God, on the other hand, has the blackest,
bloodiest hands of any figure in the Bible. I'd certainly say Lucifer
was the better guy. I mean, he didn't even ask any reward for showing
Eve the fruit -- all he said was that it would open her eyes and show
her what is right and wrong. It did, right? But God didn't want her,
or Adam, to know that.
You know, perhaps the reason he didn't tell them why he didn't want them
to eat the fruit was that he didn't want them to start wondering why he
wanted them to stay in the dark. And do you know why I think he would
want them to stay in the dark? Well, think about it!
If someone knows what's right and wrong, and you tell them to go torture
an old man with red-hot brands, they're pretty likely to refuse,
wouldn't you say? On the other hand, if they *don't* know, if you're
using some kind of mind-control to blur the definition of what is right
and wrong in their minds, then you can tell them to do anything, and
they'll do it because why should they not?
Notice, though, that after they figure out what's right and wrong, God
starts resorting to desperate tactics. He plays the "punishment" card.
That works to some extent, but not completely. He also plays the "I am
wiser than you" card. Still doesn't entirely work. On a couple of
occasions, he plays the "kill everyone who won't follow me blindly"
card, both through natural disasters and through commanding his
followers to do the killing.
Finally he realizes that people don't like to be bullied, so he puts on
his thinking cap and comes up with a novel concept -- if he makes a
simple offer of ultimate love, and underlies it with a nasty threat
(Hell), he can (1) claim justification for the threat because he's only
hurting those who refuse his love, and how can you justify someone who
perversely rejects a pure offer of love? And (2), he can tell his
followers to do anything he likes if he has them convinces he's the
incarnation of love, since as a loving God, anything he says to do must
have love as its high and ultimate goal, thus giving rise to the concept
of "the end justifies the means", even though his history shows that his
ends are not truly worthy.

What if the god is the one the bible calls the devil, and the one it

Islam is no better than christianity.
Virtually all religions are designed to persuade the population to give away
their power and also to adopt the low vibration of fear as their way of
life.
Fear is the basis for all dark emotions and it puts one into a state of
either victim-hood or aggressor. It works both ways and both ways lead to
spiritual ruin.
The elites have designed and dispersed the religions such in a way as to
play us off against each other. Christianity is a victim based religion and
Islam is an aggressor based religion.
The aim of the elites is to keep us busy fighting each other while they reap
the profits and bask in their power.
When humanity learns to use universal compassion in an unconditional way
towards all races, the game will end and we will live in peace and harmony.
That is already happening. The compassion and cool-headedness that was
expressed after 9/11 by countless people around the world is a testament to
that.
Andrew.

You're just parroting what all other indoctrinated christians have been
saying for centuries.
The fact is that christians are taught not to question what they are told
about scripture but the very principal of wisdom is to question everything,
even your faith.
The god of the bible pretends to teach wisdom but actually suppresses it by
bamboozling his followers with confusing parables which sound really deep
and authoritive.
Humans love deep, dramatic and authoritive sounding words even if they mean
nothing. They just put their own meaning and justification on it. That's
what their taught to do. Humans also love stories and legends. That's why
the bible is so popular. That's why the god of darkness designed it that
way.

Did it ever occur to any of you that god actually uses evolution as a
tool for creation? What other method would he use other than natural
forces? God *uses* science for his creation.

It doesn't say that in the bible.

It doesn't say a lot of things in the bible.

You are creating lies as a method to
explain away the lies that are in the scripture as they are uncovered by
science.

You see my words as lies only because you've been indoctrinated and taught
not to believe anyone who is not approved by religious or scientific
authorities.
How do you know it isn't *my* words that are the truth and the authorities
words that are the lies?

Science finds the real answers,

Who says that they are the real answers?

then you guys keep pasting your
god on them.

Who knows which god could be the real god?
Any god could be the real god.

Would a scientist mix up a batch of chemicals and then put them aside
and say abracadabra to conduct his experiment?

They don't.

But the creationists believe that god does.

In my mind there has never been any conflict between science and
religion.

This is because you cannot face the fact that death is the end of life.

How do you know that for sure?
Think about where that idea came form.

Do you really think that the religious elites don't know
these things? If they know then why do they continue to let us fight
and argue amongst ourselves?

See above.

While we're fighting each other, what do you think they're all doing?

Going to the bank with your tithe money.

However, you may not believe that original sin ever took place, but
that doesn't give you any excuses for the sins that YOU commit and
the evil in YOUR heart. Therefore, how will YOU be forgiven of your
sins and evil?

Focus less on the sins of the little people and focus more on the sins
of our elite leaders who are in the process of destroying our world and
us.

Adam & Eve never existed. They are part of a god-creation story, debunked
by scientific discovery. No Adam & Eve = no Garden of Eden = no Original
Sin = no need for Jesus. It really isn't that hard to figure out.

Probably true.

This whole world makes no sense.
Maybe if you were to un-learn what you have learned then I would start
making sense to you.

In article <3f4d1ee1$0$4187$afc38c87@news.optusnet.com.au>, Andrew W says...
snippage

Did it ever occur to any of you that god actually uses evolution as a tool
for creation?

No, of course not. There's no evidence that a god exists, so why would I think
it uses anything?

What other method would he use other than natural forces?

Snap his celestial fingers?

God *uses* science for his creation.

Please prove this. Thanks.

Would a scientist mix up a batch of chemicals and then put them aside and
say abracadabra to conduct his experiment?

<chuckle> Hardly ;)

In my mind there has never been any conflict between science and religion.
Do you really think that the religious elites don't know these things?

Yes.

If they know then why do they continue to let us fight and argue amongst
ourselves?

Maybe they figure they can squeeze more money out of the populace that way.

While we're fighting each other, what do you think they're all doing?

See above.
