Christians Prove Their God Useless Yet Again |
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/3171287.stm
"Crowds of people, praying and singing hymns, have remained outside
the rotunda of the judicial building in the state capital Montgomery
where the Ten Commandments have pride of place."
And not a thing they have prayed has done any good! When you get
right down to it, these people who insist that faith is the only way
to salvation, who champion this god of theirs, who demand that the
rest of us bow down to their delusion, have not a shred of faith among
them. If they did, they would back off and leave it alone and trust
that their god would see them right.
The very man who leads this fight, Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, is
the most hypocritical among them, because he is the one who has
admitted, by his own actions, that his god is utterly incapable of
helping him. He is the one who has admitted, by his own actions, that
his god is impotent - an invention born of ignorance rather than a
living, supreme being. He is the one who has admitted that his god is
less capable than Moore himself is, by taking the fight into his own
hands and going through legal channels. If he truly believed the
pious ***** he is spouting, would kneel and pray and trust that god
knows best.
Moore is, of course, incapable of doing this, because he knows that
god will ultimately screw him over just like this Christian god has
been screwing over the faithful since the faithful invented him.
Someone needs to take a sledgehammer to that stone edifice to fiction
and smash it to dust.

---- No, Not True! The 10 Commandments rock has been shown on TV,
with the actual scruptures displayed, more than it would have ever been
seen, if it stayed there for the next 20 years, without problem.
Now, even if it is removed, the rock has done its job. Thanks for all the
publicity. :-D ;-D.

What's interesting is that the only spots I ever saw showed only the
commandments originated by pagan cultures. The only uniquely-Judaic
commandment--the one requiring a Sunday-to-Friday work week--didn't
seem to show up as much. Darn heathen media must be trying to
undermine the uniquely-Judaic origins of our culture! ;-)

So, it was meant to point out the depths of fundamentalist folly and
to give another small segment of the population a good reason to kick
the Jesus habit? To show that rabid fundamentalists have an inherent
hatred for freedom and that their kind are a threat to American
liberty?
Well, if that's the case, I applaud Moore.

Strange how this entity which supposedly created everything out of
nothing needs slack-jawed drooling sub-literates on TV to get its
message out. You'd think it could at least spring for a super bowl
commercial.
