Justice Dept. Rejects Google's Concerns

SAN FRANCISCO -
Concerns by Google Inc. that a Bush administration demand to examine
millions of its users' Internet search requests would violate privacy
rights are unwarranted, the Justice Department said in a court filing.
The 18-page brief filed Friday argues that because the information
provided would not identify or be traceable to specific users, privacy
rights would not be violated.

If they're not traceable, then why do they want to examine them? Are they
just looking for something to read?

The information _is_ trackable down to individual people's computers.
All it takes is a subpoena or two. The fascist regime is trolling
the search engine data which they will then use -- and probably are
already using -- to conduct warrantless domestic espionage treason
against people based on subpoenas that turn up the IP addresses of
individuals in the search engine data base.

Don't ever say any cyber signature is not traceable! Trust me . . . all
Google Searches are traceable back to the source of the searcher's IPA.
Why the hell do you think POTUS wants them? Google has the largest
database of internet users. It is an Intelligence Mother Lode!

It's for the Administration's republican-rube-shucking never ending battle on
internet porn. They are going to mine it for search terms and report that
3,762% of internet users look at porn, so it must be stamped out, do you hear,
stamped out!!!!
Does that help?

Yes, it does. Maybe you can help Fred work on "posting things in a
way which makes sense".
I know in Fred-rice-land, preceding everything he posts with
"CHRISTOFASCISTS!" makes sense, but not everybody in the world sees as
he does that every bad thing that happens in the world is the result
of christian fascists. Maybe if he could make even some vague attempt
to explain what he's talking about then he would start to make
something like sense.

Ironically I agree with the general bent of what Fred Rice says almost
completely across the board. I think our current government -is-
stuffed with fascists trying to impose Christian morality on us.
But somebody who makes noise without being able to present a coherent
argument does much more harm than good. The people you are attacking
retreat into their irrational zone and you make them stronger and
stupider. I see somewhat moderate Christians who think that they are
being attacked by hateful, irrational zealots and it gives them a
bunker mentality and swings them in the direction of being extremist
Christians. And THEY'RE RIGHT. I can look at the idiots attacking
them, and their impression is perfectly reasonable.
I used to wonder why all the social and philosophical advances of the
sixties, seventies and to some extent the eighties seemed to have
completely collapsed and left us with our present situation with
oogah-boogah religous nuts gaining a huge foothold in controlling the
world.
But I've been watching hysterics like this spitting mindless bile at
them through all those years. Eventually if you can't draw people
towards rationally looking at reality, you create extremists.
