Just as with the Christ-tsunami of last year, I'm predicting that
religious charities will be looking to cash in on the misery and
devastation caused by hurricane katrina directly hitting new orleans. I
know that prediction is about as hard to make as the predicting that the
tides will come in. But it's too bad that many gullible religious idiots
will throw their money down a hole, thinking that they are helping
hurricane victims, when they really just end up buying pat robertson a
new yacht.
BTW, Bush and Robertson and Falwell and all the other fanatic
fundamentalist assholes are free to pray for this storm to just turn
around and head back out to see. Surely their allegedly omnipotent god
could effortlessly cause hurricane katrina to evaporate. But we all know
that no such thing will happen because their fairy tale god never lifts a
finger to do anything, even if it means massive loss of human life.

"It is fashionable to wax apocalyptic about the
threat to humanity posed by the AIDS virus, 'mad cow'
disease, and many others, but I think a case can be
made that faith is one of the world's great evils,
comparable to the smallpox virus but harder to
eradicate." -- Richard Dawkins
