Chung's Cardiology Group |
Man oh man. Go look what's going on in sci.med.cardiology. Someone, or
someone controlling a bot, more likely, had trashed the ***** out of it.
It's those weird garbled nonsense posts that we got a few of a couple
weeks back. I remember we had a similar attack like what is going on in
Chung's group back in the 90's. Someone said that what's going on in
sci.med.cardiology is a "sporge attack" - whatever the ***** that is.
I can't stand Chung, as I'm sure you all know, but nobody should have
their group flooded with crap to try and disrupt the group's debates and
conversations. That's censorship at it's worst. Chung, while completely
insane from his career derailment, has the same right to free speech and
to get his message out as the rest of us. We ourselves have found
ourselves under the same type of attacks more than once. Very recently,
in fact. If people make it difficult for the oddballs to post, and run
them out of Usenet, what's the fun in that?

In the 70's all the spades smoked Kools. When I was rudely
chucked into the Youth Commission for a 4 month evaluation as
to what to do with my delinquent *****, they allowed kids to
smoke tobacco. But the cigarette supply had to come from
relatives on the outs. Of course, most of my fellow prisoners
were black, and their folks all brought in cartons of Kools.
Although I'd started out at 13 smoking Newports (not because I
wanted to become a cigarette addict - my friend told me it
would be good practice for when we scored our first joint) I
soon disliked menthol and went with Marlboros. So it was hard
getting used to smoking what I began calling "Kruels" - Kools
had the largest amount of menthol of any cigarette on earth. It
felt like icy bits of razor blades were slicing through my
lungs when I inhaled. Occasionally they'd run out of Kools and
they had to resort to my brand. I savored every puff, and
refused to give my shorts to anyone.
I don't know what smokes cost where I'm at, but those prices
seem cheap from what I've heard. Doesn't California tax the
living ***** out of tobacco? They do here.

They do, but Marlboro must be selling for next to nothing, almost all tax.
They cost about the same as the ***** smokes like Basic. AND they just sent
me a really nice sleeping bag. What a nice surprise. They send $5 coupons
for cartons all the time too.

They can get the same product for a lot less money, so you're ripping
them off. (It's scientifically proven that it doesn't matter where a
vitamin comes from - an equivalent dose of an equivalent vitamin can
be squeezed from a plant or made in a factory and it has the same
effect on the human body.)
By the way whats pygalgia??
You're in the medical field. You should know. Or are you just a

He hasn't made a blatantly illegal claim yet. As soon as he does (if
he hasn't left Usenet by now), it all gets forwarded to the FDA. They
react a lot faster than Google does.

Me too. Might as well be selling Noni Juice for $40/bottle
Har! Some gullible sucker was telling me all about some bottled fruit -
similar to Noni, from the South pacific - that cures cancer, psoriasis,
and TB. She swore that a guy she knows was given a death sentence from
some cancer and after drinking this juice, he amazed his doctors when
they couldn't find a trace of cancer anywhere in his body. Spontaneous
remission. She said that she was distributing it herself now, too.
I've known this person for 20 years, and I knew she was gullible, but
not this bad. I said well let me try some and I'll see if it cures my
ailments. That's when she told me that it's $60/bottle. That's when I
said nothing can cure all those things, especially a $60 bottle of
mystery fruit. She said that the medical community refused to believe in
the curative powers of this stuff.
I explained to her that pharmaceutical companies spend billions to scour
rain forests and the world looking for new drugs in plants, animals and
insects. And that if the stuff was a magic cure-all to every of
mankind's worst illnesses, the people selling the fruit & the bottled
version would be far more wealthy by selling the raw fruit to drug
companies - rather than by selling the ***** bottle-by-bottle through a
shady MLM scheme.
Of course I'm just negative, and don't understand about the conspiracy
to keep everyone sick so that drug companies can get richer selling
worthless medications that do nothing, stringing people along until they
die. If everyone drank that fruit *****, no one would ever need
pharmaceutical companies any more.
What do you say to someone as daft as this?
