A Roman Catholic priest handed over thousands of pounds to help his
friend groom a young girl for sex, a court heard today.
Father Jeremiah McGrath, 62, allegedly gave the cash to William Adams,
38, to lavish gifts and treats on an 11-year-old girl in Liverpool.
There was evidence of a sexual relationship between the two men,
Liverpool Crown Court heard, and McGrath knew that Adams had served
half of a 12-year sentence in Ireland for raping an eight-year-old
girl.

Yep, that vaunted Christian moral superiority
You need to realize that there are many denominations of Christianity.
Catholicism is rebuked by the Bible, in that it performs many obvious
Blasphemies.
And any religions organization is going to have evil people in it.
You might want to instead focus on the huge percentage of people in any of
those religions that are actually good, rather than point out 0.001% of them
that are bad and ascribe their morals to the entire group you seek to
condemn.

That is a good point. However, consider that many Christians here argue
that atheists must be immoral and evil because they are not Christian.
Cases like this counter that by pointing out that being Christian doesn't
make you moral and good.
ie while one case of attribute X for a person of group Y does NOT mean all Y
have attribute X .. it IS true that one case of not having attribute X for a
person of group Y means that not all Y have attribute X.
