Columbia Invited Him? |
The Grand High ***** from Iran got an invite from Columbia.
That's just fucking lovely.
I think we should arrest him and put his scruffy ***** on trial.
Aren't we at war with these zipperheads?
Aren't they part of the "axis of evil"?
Put him on trial and hang him.
Can you imagine Hitler being invited to speak at Columbia in 1943?

From Bush's perspective, yes.
It's an opportunity for some back-door diplomacy,
some unofficial talks. And if a breakthrough is
made Bush can take the credit. If they go nowhere
Bush doesn't look like a failure... again. If they
strike a deal but Bush doesn't like it, he can
wash his hands of it, as it was "unofficially"
negotiated anyway.
Zero risk for Bush, but with the potential for
some gain.

As did numerous world leaders. President Michelle Bachelet Jeria of
Chilie was the next speaker after President Ahmadinejad.
That's just fucking lovely.
I think we should arrest him and put his scruffy ***** on trial.
On what charge? Also, he is travelling on a diplomatic passport and
with the permission of the US Government.
Aren't we at war with these zipperheads?
Not even a little bit.
Aren't they part of the "axis of evil"?
That's so 2003.
Put him on trial and hang him.
Again, do you have an actual charge in mind?
Can you imagine Hitler being invited to speak at Columbia in 1943?
No, since Germany delcared war on us on December 10th, 1941, which
ended our reconition of German diplomatic authority. Hitler would not
have been granted a visa.
However, since Hitler had been Time's "Man of the Year" in 1938 (the
title awarded to the person who most affected the news) I could see
Columbia inviting him to speak.

What has he done that Bush hasn't done? Denied human rights? Been a god
botherer? Illegally invaded another country? Developed nuclear weapons?
Supported, trained and financed terrorists elsewhere? Held prisoners
without charge or trial? Kidnapped people people and flown them to
torture camps?
I'm scratching my head and I can't figure it out.

Ok, so ms was thrilled to see his buddy at Columbia.
Go away troll.
What's the matter, ms. Has your tailfeather been singed?
You enjoy his talk, didn't you.
I enjoyed the laughter and the oportunity to let him speak and to have
people speak against him. It is really kind of silly, trollish almost,
for you to try to claim that I am somehow pro-Iran.
You sounded like you are.
Troll usually have bad hearing. For instance, I told a troll to go
away and somehow that sounded like my saying that I enjoyed
Ahmadinejad's speech.
