Confidence is relative. Explain what to have confidence in so the question
is more specific, please or just get plonked.

It's about like saying that a super flea created a dog. Then
the good fleas go to a great dog in the sky, while the bad unbelieving fleas

I am happily refreshing myself with about 12 hours of sleep...

subjective evidence.
As a "programmer", you should know this.
There is no objective evidence you can offer up, to support the claim of

the work of the medical profession, which relies on science, not god. I have
extensive experience with bipolar people, and I would be willing to be you
