Frequently conservatives set the blame for political correctness on
liberals. Although many folk who lean toward the left do prefer certain
terms over others in the name of consideration of feelings, rarely (if ever)
have those preferences been written into law. Conservatives, on the other
hand, have asserted their repulsion to some terms by obscenity legislation
and the formation a censoring bureau, the Federal Communications Commission,
to enforce their own notion of correctness.
