Correction -- Science without ETHICS is lame |
Equating religion and morality or ethics is clearly a disservice to
humanity. Adding religion to the scientific method is counterproductive
if not deadly. Get real, folks!

Einstein was unwise to use the words "God" and "religious" in the
metaphorical way he did and to utter statements like "science without
religion is lame". He did make it very clear that he did not believe
in any kind of personal God and he expressed annoyance at being
misrepresented on this matter. He used religious terms as a metaphor
for the beauty and harmony of the physical laws that govern the
universe and he felt that the reverence and awe he felt while
contemplating nature was somewhat akin to a religious feeling. But of
course many idiots misunderstand his views (often deliberately).
Richard Dawkins issued a plea to people like Hawking, Penrose,
and Witten not to use religious terms in this metaphorical way. The
fundies deliberately misquote and misrepresent emminent scientists on
this for their own purpose.

They can't. No gonads, no spine, and no brain stem.
