Cost Effective Use of the Mormons Time |
I went to a friends for dinner last night. We had some nicely done
pork chops and a respectable bottle of chianti. Just before we
finished there was a knock at the door. I said, "I wonder who that
could be"?. He said, "I expect it is the Mormons." "The Mormons??" I
said.
He explained that he had them coming over several times a day for the
last week. In that time he had his apartment cleaned and several
dinner supplied at no cost. He excused himself and dismissed them
claiming I was there and an atheist so it would be a bad time to
discuss the Book ( of Mormon). He said he just kept telling them that
he had not had time to read it but to come back for the last week,
carefully interjecting what he had to do instead so that they could
pick up some of the slack....
Seems like too much of a pain to me but I found it amusing none the
less...
