Wow, it's not every day that a man of God advocates the breaking
of two commandments in one sentence. I guess all that time with
prostitutes has given him the moral high ground.
The Bible on homosexuality:
Leviticus 18:22: Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind:
it is abomination.
The Bible on shellfish:
Leviticus 11:10: And all that have not fins and scales in the seas,
and in the rivers, of all that move in the
waters,
and of any living thing which is in the waters,
they
shall be an abomination unto you:
Let he who has not eaten shrimp cast the first stone!

man, I don't know which part of that scene was the weirdest, the man
who talked like a homicidal maniac and pathological liar, or the
congregration who continued to sit there and listen to his *****.
My eldest cousin, dead now [RIP], struggled against alcoholism for
years. at one point he (he had a god complex too) got religious, again,
and was all enthused with Swaggart, saying something like, "He is the
man!" I told him (and I knew almost nothing about Swaggart 'cept he was
a televangelist) something like, "Swaggart is a phoney ***** just
like all o' them other phoney bastards who see on tv." Well, a few
months later Swaggart got caught in his whoring around ***** and a
few days or weeks after that I payed my cousin a visit. He was up on
his deck when his brother and I got out of the car and he started in
with, "Ya, I know you came here to gloat and tell me you told me so."
And I said, "Richie, you know, you strike me as the sort of fellow who
would followed someone like Jim Jones to Guyana. Now I know that you
are my older and wiser cousin, no doubt about it, but when it comes to
televagelists they ain't a one of 'em worth a *****, so next time I try
to tell you something, listen to me, for Christ's sake!" Richie says,
"Yah yah yah, lets have a beer?" :)
anyhow, Swaggart is definately some kind of a freak, a religious freak,
one who makes me wish there was gonna be this judgement day 'cause
seeing his trial would be priceless! LOL
