I'm not marking this one OT because I think everyone could use a short
break from the ugliness that's been swamping the group lately. Here are
three sites that should get at least an "Awwwww" out of anyone.
http://www.thecuteproject.com/photos/
http://dailykitten.com/
http://dailypuppy.com/
I'm not big on dogs, but I like to check out the other two at least
once or twice a week for a little fresh air.

LOL - I thought I had the only farting cat. It seems to be getting worse as
she gets older (she's pushing 13). And they're really wicked SPDs :P

Oh, darling, I'm so sorry :(

Ta. He held on until; after oldest daughter got her Bachelor of Science
degree, got married three weeks later, and three days before her and her
hubby relocated to Sacramento for his nine months of technical
schooling.
Barney (Mr. Fuzz) got lots of scratches, as usual, before he died.
Death is part of life, but that doesn't make it any easier. Youngest
daughter's black cat is five years old, maybe six.
We've got lots of critter pics and he's buried on the property with the
other pets that have died through the years. That's two other cats,
(one hit by a car) and a small dog.
Still have two dogs, a ten year old black lab and a two year old 20 lb.
terrier.

It's still hard to lose one even if you have others. I remember when my
parents' cats started aging and dying off, that the ones left behind would
be extremely upset. I wonder how my daughter's cat will react when the
elder feline is gone - probably not too well (though the elder feline
absolutely loathes her).

I found a little baby stray kitten 15 1/2 years ago and he's still
going strong. Hasn't been sick a day in his life, so I hope he lives
for many, many more years. He's a Main Coon mix, so he's huge, and has
beautiful bright orange fur with pure white on his face and underside.
He's laid back enough that when I found yet another little kitten, about
4 months old, in January, he took to her right away.

Here are three sites that should get at least an "Awwwww" out of
anyone.

http://www.thecuteproject.com/photos/

http://dailykitten.com/

http://dailypuppy.com/

I'm not big on dogs, but I like to check out the other two at least
once or twice a week for a little fresh air.

Awwww, cute little babies. Now I want to get another kitten.

What flavor?

Nah. To the serious enthusiast our cars are like pets, and those "art
cars" are the victims of pet abuse. I saw one once where the guy had
covered a perfectly good Mk.1 VW Jetta with grass or something.
Probably added about 500lb. to the poor thing. Kinda like making a
dwarf pony pull the Budweiser Wagon. And then, there was a shot of the
owner making a *golf* shot while standing on the roof! Jeez, I get
pissed when people set their drinks or books on top of mine. *Standing*
on it? Forgettaboutit. <G>

What's a new Three Series now? $35K? Sheesh. I remember when you could
get a Two for about $4K. And they didn't have all that electric
cupholder crap to break, either. A buddy of mine shopping for BMWs the
other day said you can't even get one with roll-up windows and cloth
seats anymore. <sigh> Twos aren't really cute, but since they're my
fave here's the plug:

I had a neighbor during college who had planted his trunk with St.
Augustine grass and was actually growing some flowers in it. He had all
sorts of little odds and ends glued over the rest of the body, and there
was something special on top, but I forget what it was now. It's
probably just as well you weren't there to see it.

Cars not cute? Pshaw, my good man.

*ahem* Your good woman, if you please. Which no doubt explains my
lack of enthusiasm for either sports or cars, huh? That stuff is
probably attached to the Y chromosome.

You do have it bad, don't you? I'm reminded of a time when I worked
in a bookstore and one of the guys waved me over to the door. His face
was just glowing with pleasure as he pointed at some random car out in
the lot and started gushing about how it was an actual Mercedes 1234XYZ
or whatever. At some point he stopped and was clearly waiting for me to
make a comment. Unfortunately, I wanted to make sure I knew which car
he was talking about so I said, "Are you talking about that little black
round one next to the pickup?" That ended the conversation right there.

A buddy of mine shopping for BMWs the
other day said you can't even get one with roll-up windows and cloth
seats anymore.

I prefer cloth seats, too, but except for the time when I was attacked
by some psycho dog who leapt right at me as I passed him, and I was able
to whip the window up in record time, I've never been in a situation
when roll up windows were better than electric. I love being able to
roll down all the windows at once on a pretty day.
