Da Vinci Code: What's the Big Deal? |
"A Canadian survey commissioned last year by National Geographic showed
that 32 percent who read 'The Da Vinci Code' believed its theories
[sic]."
Big whoop. Make any idiotic proposition (Jesus and Mary Magdelene got
married, horoscopes mean something, God exists, etc.) and AT LEAST 32%
of the population will believe it.

There are some routine medical tests that are given often that give worse
odds. Consider the cardiac stress test. It has up to 50% false positive
reporting.

Quite right. What's all the fuzz about the story good for? It's a fucking
NOVEL, man! Would some of the True Christians(TM) here please enlighten me:
Whoever claimed that it's a history book or something similar?
But what to expect from the cult of lies, on the other hand? "Oh no, there's
a rival fiction that contradicts our fiction! We might lose some
well-paying dupes to that rival fiction! We must destroy it NOW!"
*considers for a moment the countless "breaking news" type babblings of
jebus cultists in this newsgroup and elsewhere "Why the DVC is bunk"... big
deal, it never was supposed to be true, but don't tell that to the sheeple
or they won't buy your ***** books"*
Aaaah, the idiocy...
