As usual, criticism of a constructive sort very much welcomed.

Watch them walking glum and gloom.
Hear them talking dumb and doom.
In the lanes they bustle with the news
that you, they say, must not refuse.
Staggering, tumbling through the streets,
blathering, lumbering endless bleats.
Think they their souls so pristine,
with ink declare goals so obscene.
Their lives, they follow steadily on
with eyes so hollow, dead to the dawn.
How pointless, aimless, sad to care
of the anointed, shameless mad affair.
If prayer paid bills and made things right -
took care of my ills and woke up the light,
then never would I be so stunningly frank.
If they'd simply not be so numbingly dank!
