Just in case it wasn't/isn't clear, I was being sarcastic, parroting
the worst of the "We must destroy the United States in order to save
it" (and of course "If you aren't with us then you're against us")
sickness that polluted the nation for a while after 9/11, and is
still heard from some benighted quarters even today.
It was and I thought I would go with it.
