George Bush is in the upper half, perhaps the upper third of the
best Presidents. In the modern era he ranks ahead of Johnson,
Carter, Clinton and Ford; behind Bush, Reagan, Eisenhower, Truman
and Roosevelt.
He shut down terrorist attacks against the U.S., and shut down the
madman Saddam. Being nominated for a Nobel Prize isn't necessarily a
mark of a good President, but it is the result of a high level of
accomplishment. Although Carter was one of the worst Presidents of
the Century, he did broker the Israeli-Egyptian peace accord which was
one the compelling reasons for his Nobel.
Bush led us out of the Clinton Recession despite the devasting effects
of the 9/11. He brought prescription drug insurance into Medicare
and brought the growing crisis in Social Security into the political
arena . IOW, he has done more for poor people than any Democrat
president since Truman/Roosevelt. Adding the 100's of billions
available for social welfare because of his suppression of 9/11 type
attacks, means he has done more for poor people than any two Democrat
presidents since Truman/Roosevelt.
If you think he's the "WORST president in modern American history",
then you must hate poor people.
Clinton is tied with Buchanon for second-worst ever. You may think
that Clinton's selling of Presidential Pardons, or trading advanced
military technology for political contributions is the mark of a worthy
president but it isn't. (BTW, you do know that in their good years,
the Clintons make more money from Dubai bribes alone than President
Bush's entire non-salary) income)
It's been six years since the Marc Richard's bribes. Hillary should
be half-way through her first prison term but she hasn't been indicted
yet. That's a tragedy.
BTW: Iraq knew how to make Binaries which are just about the longest
shelf life lethals around.

*****. GW has done nothing but enrich the rich some more.
By ANY measure, Bill Clinton was a superior President in every
way to GW. The fact that miserable Republican bastards like YOU
still try to slime him is a good indication that Clinton was righteous.
Again, why not get the WH and Pentagon to come out and reveal
this WMD claim of yours, if it is true?
The claim of old chemical shells being WMDs is about the weakest
and most pathetic excuse so far for GW's massive lies and incompetence.
I'm used to seeing pathetic excuses for GW by now, but this one

Well, are we not due, well overdue, for a revolution? A Democrat would
only be less evil and inept. We need real changes that neither party can
deliver, but a new American tyrant, able to dismiss congress until the
*voters* can redraw the districts *they* want to be in... mite give us a
congress that could actually impeach the bastards.

Throughout history, tyrants have always had control over the media; what
books will be printed, what speeches to what audiences. With the
Internet, that is impossible, as even the Chinese commies have learned.
I spoze they can control the flow of info to the average dumb *****, but
for knowledgeable hackers and IT professionals, that has turned out to
be impossible. It is the professionals that are smart enough to figure
out how to get past censorship, and they who will decide what political
system to put in place.

Why would we need the same kind of system?
Actually, there is an obscure example in history that had the kind of
vibrant free market that conservatives praise, at the same time that it
had the kind of multi-ethnic diversity that Liberals admire.
White people founded a string of cities just west of China's Jade Gate
3000-4000 years ago, and as China got organized and began exporting
silk, they got filthy rich.
The main city was Kucha. Note, that in China, goods did not leave the
"Silk Gate" but what mattered to them was the minerals that came *in*
the "Jade Gate". The minerals, gold, jade, copper, iron, and precious
stones came in to China, primarily thru Kucha and the mines in the Tien
Shen (magic mountains) north of the city.
But look at the dig. The population was stable across thousands of
years. look at the documentation they left, and you discover that the
brothels in town were owned by the queen. these cities were run by
whores. Whores who did *NOT* breed stupid bitches, but drafted them into
the brothels.
The result: no slums. And since the queen didnt need a harem, she didnt
need a palace to keep them in, or a castle to protect the palace. Nor
did she need to tax the schitt out of everyone to pay for it.

The only lasting difference between Repubs and Dems is on abortion.
This dirty mess in I-rack-up-dead-americans is a current bone of
contention.
Anti-aborts are also anti-real human life.

They dont know it yet, but abortion is a dead issue.
I garden, and have grown lotsa herbs for years. A local witch gave me
some wild yam cuttings she got in a nearby creek bottom some years ago.
I put them in some good garden dirt, and they just took off, covering an
area the size of my kitchen in a couple months. Then- there was the nite
a deer herd came by. They ate my sweet potatoes right to the ground, but
didnt *touch* the wild yam. Why not?
The plants look virtually identical. Part of the clue came from ongoing
study I had been doing on Chalcolithic EEurope. About that time,
archaeologists began taking modern forensic equipment into obscure East
European museums to examine pot residues from thousands of years ago.
Pollen is remarkably stable.
To make a long story short, it turns out there's a *reason* that
"Blessed Thistle" is blessed, and why "Bachelor Button" is so named, and
it is obvious if you think about my wild yam. Many plants have evolved a
defensive strategy to prevent herbivores from developing a taste for
them by causing infertility and abortions.
And so now, local Ozark witches and midwives are back in their
traditional 'family planning' services. No appointment, no clinic, no
protestor line, no adoption sermon, no doctor, no bill, no prescription,
no problem with pharmacists, no parental consent. Just nearly free
abortion or birth control on demand.
When I post this to a fundy, the silence is just deafening. There
*NEVER* is a response that would reprint the foregoing data. The more
draconian the legal system, the faster other 'witches', whose traditions
are not as intact as those in the hill country are going to find out.
The abortion debate is over, the fundies lost.
