David Koresh 'resurrected' for video game |
http://www.kcentv.com/news/c-article.php?cid=1&nid=4940
[video on the website]
For years, Waco has struggled to come to grips with the Branch Davidian
tragedy that happened at Mount Carmel. Now, old wounds are re-opening as
one group has turned the event into a video game called 'Waco
Resurrection'.
Some surviving Davidians and officers involved in the standoff are
outraged, but the game's creator defends it.
"The idea is that you would actually get as close to the actual feeling
of being Koresh as possible," says Michael Wilson, who helped create
Waco Resurrection.
"Koresh enters the game by falling out of the sky in a kind of
resurrection,Ó he explains. ÒHe lands on top of the compound and begins
to defend it, and through picking up Bibles that are falling from the
sky, he is able to learn scriptural, supernatural powers."
The game brings Koresh back to life for one last battle with federal
agents. The goal? Convert as many of them to Branch Davidians as
possible or kill them first. The end is always the same though. After 10
minutes, Koresh dies, the compound burns.

"The Spanish Inquisition", a multi-player game. We've already had
"Custer's Revenge" rape Indian women.

Wait, there's money to be made here! How about a game based on the OT,
where players slay all males and non-virgins. They have to rape the
virgins for extra points, but get sent to hell if the mistakenly rape a
non-virgin. Super-bonus points for virgin goats!

I actually played that game at some club here in town. There is not much
to it: the graphics are rather shoddy and the gameplay is horrid. I also
wore that mask, which didn't add anything to the gameplay itself. I thought
it actually was a work of art of some sort...

Koresh, Jesus, whatever. It's the same excrement in different wrappings.
