I *think* you are asking that question in a musing way.
I use to think that my Christian religion was beautiful, that it was "good"
in the best sense of the word. I use to think that it taught people to live
morally upright lives and to show tolerance towards others. I also believed
my religion provided me with "truths" that science could not. I was wrong.
Religion is useless.
