The opening title sequence is hilarious.
It's supposed to show an alien spaceship crashing to Earth in flames.
What it actually shows is a paper plate, soaked in some combustable liquid,
being 'frisbeed' through the air after being set alight.

Then there's the gravestones in the cemetery that wobbled as the actors
walked past them and many other similar 'bloopers'.
It looks like the budget for the film was about $1.50, if that.

Altogether the funniest serious film ever.

The lead replacement always had his back to the
camera.

The replacement was much taller and thinner than the original (even before
he died!).
He did face the camera at times, but was wearing a cape that he used to
(very obviously) mask his face.
Still couldn't hide the different body shape, though.

It was a feature length movie. Certainly campy by today's standards
but I
don't think that was the intent back then.

There was also a lot of protest against the film for the bad message it
presented. Namely, it was possible to lead a life of crime and get a
