"Dead" man wakes up under autopsy knife
Mon Sep 17, 8:53 AM ET
CARACAS (Reuters) - A Venezuelan man who had been declared dead woke
up in the morgue in excruciating pain after medical examiners began
their autopsy.
Carlos Camejo, 33, was declared dead after a highway accident and
taken to the morgue, where examiners began an autopsy only to realize
something was amiss when he started bleeding. They quickly sought to
stitch up the incision on his face.
"I woke up because the pain was unbearable," Camejo said, according to
a report on Friday in leading local newspaper El Universal.
His grieving wife turned up at the morgue to identify her husband's
body only to find him moved into a corridor -- and alive.
Reuters could not immediately reach hospital officials to confirm the
events. But Camejo showed the newspaper his facial scar and a document
ordering the autopsy.

You think that they would have a qualified priest on hand to
infallibly detect if there were still a 'soul' in the body, wouldn't
you?

Yeah! Really! The church really dropped the ball
on this one.

I don't think the pathologist made the cut that low down.
But nonetheless, it does raise the question of why the Catlick Church,
with all their gazillions of Euros in research funds, have not come up
with a more reliable Soul-o-meter than Barry White, or the Ouija

I've a huge collection of busted Irony meters they can have.
Maybe they could cannibalise some of the parts to build a Soulometer.
I know souls are a lot more difficult to detect than irony, but the
researchers in the Vatican should be able to work out how to do it.
After all, they're the experts when it comes to souls, especially altar

That is not error free anymore either. Under the presence of uniform daylight
balanced florescent lighting the soul may have trouble distinguishing "the"
white light from the other white lights in the room and repeatedly bump its
ectoplasmic head on the ceiling until out of frustration it returns to the body.
When the soul returns to the body it undergoes a process called <insert latin

Ha! Seen that in proper CSI (the one with Mr Grissom). As the story
