Duke, you really need to keep up. This happened weeks ago (March 7th to
be specific). Democratic voters switched their party registration en
masse to vote for DeLay to make sure that he got the nomination. That
way they can run against a candidate with high liabilities and negatives.
DeLay probably would have lost the primary without the democratic help
and then democrats would have had to run against a republican without the
specter of felony convictions hanging over him. DeLay knows this, so his
triumphalism is quite insincere. It's common for incumbent politicians
in primary elections to get 85 or 90% of the vote. Rick Perry got about
85% in the repug primary. DeLay is an 11 term congressman and he could
only muster around 60% of the vote with democratics jumping into the
primary, and his newly gerrymandered, butterfly shaped district.
DeLay even had three republicans running against him, which is no vote of
confidence in his leadership thus far. Some may even stay in the race as
independents.

Now knucklehead, did I say different? Of course, the great silence of the

Why the silence?

you even fucking wonder what happened until a couple weeks later? Damn
you're pathetic.

Because primaries are not elections?

I'm considering registering as a Republican so I can vote against Asa
Hutchinson in the Arkansas gubernatorial primary.
