Did anyone watch Dirty Bomb on BBC1 last night?
Maybe I'm overly cynical but I can't help but to think slightyl that
something like this is simply scaremongering

version of "Legally Blonde" on 5 - snigger, and you know who you
are....>.

I went into the Navy as a Nuke, and back in 1974 (or 75) during an argument
with some friends we designed the nuclear dirty bomb. But even at that we
were way behind the master, Robert A. Heinlein did it first back in the very
early 1940's, I think it was either his 3rd or 4th short story. In the story
the first nuclear weapon used in war was used on Berlin, which was dusted
with radioactive dust.
(And even at that this was an ancient idea, Rome, and many others before, I
point to cities being torn down, with no rock standing on another, and the
earth sowed with salt so that nothing would ever grow there again. The idea
was to deny even the land to the conquered people.)

Yip, that's what I thought....only saw a bit of the last half-hour....
and that was...urm.....crap.
(Watched 'Legally Blonde' on 5 instead, which was quite funny.)
Bremner Bird and Fortune weren't up to their usual standard of
